Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

Your identity stays private. The six questions we ask are gender, birth date, health status in plain language, tobacco use, desired coverage amount, and term length. That information alone is enough for carriers to provide rate estimates. Personal details like name, address, and medical records only come into play if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

What you see are the specific rates quoted by each carrier for the health classification you select. After you apply, the carrier's underwriting team may confirm that class, move you to a better one, or adjust it based on their review. These quotes are estimates provided for comparison and are not an insurance offer or a guaranteed price.

What happens when I click Apply?

Selecting a carrier opens a secure application that includes the quote you chose and asks for your name to get started. The application continues through the carriers' own secure platform, and you can pause and continue later. Signing happens electronically when you're ready. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), handles applications from this site.

Will I need a medical exam?

It varies by carrier and the amount you're requesting. Some carriers offer immediate decisions using accelerated underwriting if you meet certain age and coverage limits, without requiring an exam. Others may ask for one, and each quote shown here indicates whether an exam is required, likely, or not needed for that product.

Is a longer term better?

Choose the coverage length based on when you'll stop needing protection. A mortgage that ends in 20 years, children becoming independent, or a business loan that's paid down are all natural endpoints. Longer terms lock in lower rates but cost more each month. The tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year options side by side to find what makes sense for your timeline.

Does this site sell my information?

We don't. The quote engine gathers six data points but never collects your contact information or name. We don't buy, sell, or share visitor information, and our site measurement system uses no cookies or tracking. Visit the privacy page for complete details on what information is collected and by whom.
